Panther Boys Clinch No. 1 Seed.  The varsity boys clinched the no. 1 seed in next weeks district tournament by beating Leake last week. Their first district loss came at the hands of Leake this past Tues. night but does not affect their district seeding. The tournament is set to be played at Oak Hill Academy in West Point some time next week. Pictured to the left are the varsity boys and girls seniors at senior night last Thursday.

Nate Dickens commits to ECCC.  After thumbing through several offers, Nate Dickens has decided to sign with East Central Community College. The first spring signing date for the states JUCO's is Jan. 15 and Nate made his final decision just this past Friday. Nate will attend a signing ceremony at ECCC in Decatur, MS Tuesday Jan. 17 to make it official. Dickens, a hard throwing senior right hander had several offers to contemplate before choosing to take his talents to Coach Neil Holiman at East Central for the 2013 season. "I am very proud of Nate. He's worked so hard to get to this point and has a lot of potential to get even better. I'm glad this recruiting process for Nate is over, for the time being, so he can now completely concentrate on the upcoming season," says Coach Ray. The Panther Baseball season is slated to begin the last week of Feb.
