Jeremy Sumrall has completed five years of coaching boys' basketball at his alma mater, Canton Academy.
A 1996 graduate, Sumrall was part of the CA boys' basketball team that was the 1995 State AA runner up and the 1996 State AA Champion. After graduating with a master's degree in history and a minor in physical education from Delta State University, Sumrall coached junior high basketball at Central Delta Academy, whose team captured the 2001 conference championship with a 21-0 record. In 2003 he joined the Canton Academy coaching staff. During the 2006-2008 seasons, Canton Academy's varsity boys' team advanced to the State AA playoffs.
In 2005 he married Kari Elizabeth Girdley of Indianapolis, Indiana. Kari is an English teacher in Rankin County. They enjoy biking and vacationing in the mountains of Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, and Utah.

Jeff Sumrall, a 1991 Canton Academy graduate, has served five seasons as Assistant Boys' Basketball Coach. With highest honors, he graduated from Mississippi State University in 1995 with a degree in business and engineering. He is a partner of Sumrall Farms.
