Two A Days: Varsity Two A Days begin July 26, 2010. This includes all 9-12th grades, and some 8th graders. There will be a team meeting, with all parents, after the evening practice, on July 26 at 6:30 PM, in the Fieldhouse.

Jr. High Two A Days begin August 2, 2010. This includes all 7-9th grades. There will be a team meeting, with all parents, after the evening practice, on August 2 at 5:30 PM, in the Fieldhouse.

PRACTICE SCHEDULE, DATES, TIMES, ETC:

Monday, July 26th and Tuesday, July 27th

Morning Practice

6:30 a.m.- Coach's meet
7:00 a.m.- Players arrive and get dressed
7:30 a.m.- Team Meeting (players dressed & ready)
8:30 a.m.- On the field, practice begins
10:30 a.m.- Off the field, practice ends
Leave and responsible for own Lunch


Afternoon Practice

2:00 p.m.- Coach's meet
3:00 p.m.- Players arrive and get dressed
3:15 p.m.- Team Meeting (players dressed & ready)
4:00 p.m.- On the field, practice begins
6:00 p.m.- Off the field, practice ends



Wednesday, July 28th, Thursday, July 29th, Friday, July 30th, Monday, August 2nd, Tuesday, August 3rd, & Wednesday, August 4th


We will be at the field house/school all day.  Players will not be allowed to go home during the day.  They will need to have enough clothes (socks, underwear, practice shorts/shirts, and lounging clothes for 3 practices per day).

Morning Practice

6:30 a.m.- Coach's Meet
7:00 a.m.- Players arrive & get dressed
7:30 a.m.- Team Meeting (Dressed & ready)
8:30 a.m.- On the field, practice begins
10:30 a.m.- Off the field, practice ends
11:30 a.m.- Team Concepts (Devotional, etc) & Lunch
*Lunch will be provided, BUT bring extra gatoraide, etc. to drink during day to stay hydrated*

Special Teams Practice

12:30 p.m.- On the field, special teams practice begins (helmets & shirts only)
1:30 p.m.- Off the field, special teams practice ends
1:30 p.m.-3:00 p.m.- Rest, nap, etc at field house in big room upstairs

Afternoon Practice

2:00 p.m.- Coach's Meet
3:00 p.m.- Players get dressed
3:15 p.m.- Team Meeting (players dressed & ready)
4:00 p.m.- On the field, practice begins
6:00 p.m.- Off the field, practice ends

Thursday, August 5th

Only 2 practices.  Same schedule as Monday, July 26th


Friday, August 6th


We will scrimmage at MRA vs MRA and Simpson

11:30 a.m.- Coach's meet & players arrive
12:30 p.m.- Team Meeting
1:00 p.m.- Load bus
1:15 p.m.- Depart for MRA
1:40 p.m.- Arrive at MRA
1:40 p.m.- 2:20 p.m.- Warm-up, stretch, etc.
2:30 p.m.- scrimmage begins (CA vs MRA)
*Simpson will arrive about 2:30 p.m. & will play either us or MRA around 3:00 p.m.  We will probably do 10 plays at a time.  Not completely sure on the format yet.

At the conclusion of the scrimmage we will return back to school.  Two-a-days will officially be over.

Important Equipment Information

All equipment will be purchased with the school's football budget with the exception of:

1. Cleats- We wil buy the cleats from a reputable company that will discount the cost due to volume purchased.  The players are responsible for purchasing their cleats from the Athletic Department at the same price we pay for them.

2. Special Equipment- Hand pads, for instance, must be purchased by the players, but they must fit into the team uniform color requirement.

3. Game Film- Families wishing to obtain game films can/may purchase them directly from us (High School only).  The fee will be either $15 or $20 depending on whether or not I can get the radio broadcast tied into the video.  More info will be available later.  Playoff games will require an additional fee.  Call Coach Walker for additional information.
