Varsity Boys Track Team Members
"Congratulations to the members of the CA Lady Panthers track team who qualified and participated in the MPSA state meet in May. Junior Corey Yeates placed second in both the 100 meter dash and the 100 meter low hurdles. She also finished third in the 200 meter dash for a total of 3 medals. The 400-meter relay team of junior Corey Yeates, junior Rachel Summerlin, sophmore Brittany Ladner, and 9th grader Amy Allison Yeates also qualified for the meet. 8th grader Caroline Terry participated in both the 800-meter and 1600-meter run.
The Lady Panther varsity was also the winner of the 2009 CA Rotary Meet.
The future of girls track is bright here at CA. Every girl that qualified for the state meet is back for the 2010 season and there are several very talented girls in junior high that will be contributing in the upcoming years. In fact, several junior high girls other than the ones named above have already competed with the varsity after the completion of the junior high season.
